With the touch of a button, complex arithmetic, and mathematical problems could be solved almost instantly. At the time, some experts feared that the widespread use of calculators would result in a decline in human mental ability, especially when it came to basic arithmetic and numerical reasoning.

However, the reality is that the use of calculators has not led to a significant decrease in human intelligence. Instead, it has allowed us to focus our cognitive resources on more complex problems and higher-level thinking.
