The idea that a job is not meant to make you happy is rooted in the understanding that a job’s primary purpose is to provide a source of income and financial stability.
Many people believe that their job should make them happy, but this is not always the case. A job is primarily a means of earning a livelihood and providing for oneself and one’s family. While it can be fulfilling to have a job that aligns with one’s interests and values, it is not always possible to find a job that is both financially stable and personally satisfying.
Additionally, work-life balance, good relationships with colleagues, and other factors outside of the job itself can also contribute to overall happiness. Therefore, it is important to have realistic expectations and to find ways to cultivate happiness and fulfillment outside of work.
